Your joke of the day is also a puzzle. Every day at midnight Eastern, a new joke goes live. You see the setup, and the punchline is hidden as blank letters. Guess one letter at a time. You can miss six times before the answer is revealed, and if you're stuck, the hint button gives you a nudge. Solve it and your daily streak grows by one.
When you're done, share your result with friends without giving away the answer. Missed a day? Yesterday's joke and a list of recent jokes appear below, with their punchlines, so you can catch up. There are also separate daily jokes for different crowds: a dad joke of the day, a kids version for classrooms, and a work-friendly joke for your team.

Questions people ask
When does the joke of the day change?
A new joke goes live every day at midnight Eastern Time. Everyone in the US gets the same joke on the same day, so you can compare results with friends and family no matter which time zone they're in.
How does the streak work?
Solve the daily joke and your streak goes up by one. Miss a day, or run out of guesses, and it resets. Your streak is saved in your browser, so you'll want to play on the same device each day to keep it going.
What does the hint button do?
It reveals a letter in the punchline to help you along. Using a hint doesn't break your streak, so it's there for any morning your brain needs an extra cup of coffee.
Can I see past jokes?
Yes. Yesterday's joke is shown below with its punchline, along with a list of recent jokes and their answers. It's a good way to catch up on days you missed or to find a joke to share.
